#ReopenOurDoors
2020 Annual Campaign

In March, we were forced to close our doors at all three Clubs due to the COVID-19 crisis. During our closure, we continued to work to create a sense of place and belonging for the children we serve, while completely reimagining our programming to ensure we would be able to resume in-person services as soon as safely possible.

On June 15, we proudly reopened the doors of our Westcott Club to serve kids and families in a world that looks completely different than it used to. We have since expanded our operations to include special daytime Clubs at Pine and Springfield elementary schools. Our dedicated Youth Development Professionals are back in action, delivering online learning support alongside programs that promote Academic Success, Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles.

With social distancing, mask-wearing and reduced group sizes in effect, our programming has already seen significant modifications. Due to the economic uncertainty our country faces, we expect the demand for our low-cost services to remain high. Meanwhile, the expenses associated with high quality youth development programming will increase due to the need for lower staff/member ratios, Personal Protective Equipment and enhanced cleaning/sanitizing protocols.

Despite the challenges we currently face, there are smiles behind our masks, and we could not be more grateful to have our members back at our Clubs. As we move forward, we are committed to safety, transparency and evolving as needed to continue to serve our community’s youth.

Today, more than ever, local kids and families need our support. We ask that you consider supporting our work through a gift to our 2020 Annual Campaign.
