Dear La Porte County Families:

Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County (BGCLPC) is excited to announce its return to afterschool services at its Pine, Springfield and Charles R. Westcott Clubs beginning Wednesday, October 21. We look forward to relaunching many of our traditional programs that support Academic Success, Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles at that time.

Please know that safety remains our top priority. We will continue to implement many of the same precautions that have been used in our successful daytime programming. These include small groups, extensive cleaning/sanitizing protocols and the use of face coverings for members and staff. Because capacity is limited, we ask that all registered families commit to utilizing our services at least three days per week.

The anticipated timeline for this program will be as follows:

October 5 at 8:00 AM – Pre-registration opens for families with children currently enrolled at our daytime Pine, Springfield or Westcott Clubs.

October 7 at 8:00 AM – Pre-registration opens for all other children

October 19 and 20 – Staff training, families report to sites to finalize registration paperwork

October 21 – Afterschool services begin at Pine/Springfield/Westcott Clubs

Club membership and all programming is now completely free. All three sites will be open to Club members from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We hope to expand hours at the Westcott Club beginning in January.

If you would like to ensure you receive updates and registration details, please send your name and email address to Karen Kintigh, Program Director at kkintigh@bgclubmc.org. This is not a waitlist or registration list – preregistrations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis at www.bgclpc.org during the scheduled timeframe.

Thank you for your support of our mission. We look forward to continuing to work with you to build great futures for the next generation of La Porte County kids – whatever it takes.
